ALISHAR completed Detailed Process Engineering and Construction of the Khamis Mushayt Septage Treatment Plant to treat domestic septage delivered by tankers. The process starts from sewage dumping area to grit removal at Sludge Compactor where solids are removed, wastewater flow to Balancing Tank and Aeration process is done at Sequencing Batch Reactors, effluent will finally flow into the main Sewage Treatment Plant. Another first in kingdom is the provision of Sludge Dryer in the main sewage treatment plant. 1. Septage Dumping Station: Initial stage of septage process is from the septage dumping station adjacent to the sludge compactor. Simultaneous dumping can be done through the multi port inlet along the station. 2. Sludge Compactor: Segregation of non-degradable materials Screening and compaction process Polyelectrolyte dosing Grit dewatering and disposal 3. Balancing Tank: Waste water from the compactor unit will flow to aerated balance tank to regulate a balanced flow to the sequencing batch reactors. 4. Sequencing Batch Reactors: Wastewater from the balance tank will flow to the three sequencing batch reactors; each tank has three 30 Kw floating aerators and two1kw floating mixers. Sludge Compactor: Sludge compactor processed waste by segregating trash and solids and removed out of the system by overhead conveyor into waste receptacles. Sequencing Batch Reactors: Aeration process of wastewater from the balance tank will flow to the three sequencing batch reactors; each tank has three 30 Kw floating aerators and two1kw floating mixers. Belt Filter Press: The “Belt Filter Press” has been developed for the dewatering of suspensions and sludges. The main application of this compact machine is the high-performance dewatering of organic and inorganic materials and sludges. A special feature of the belt press is the low-wear and low-noise operation as well as low operation and maintenance costs.
